Carl LaBove’s newest show Stripped won’t show any skin, but it does expose Vegas for what it is – wild. Stripped at Windows inside Bally’s Las Vegas, dismantles the day-to-day life in Sin City, one story at a time, and the rest is a hilariously accurate description of The Entertainment Capital of the World.
One of the original Outlaws of Comedy and known for his longtime friendship with Sam Kinison, LaBove began his comedy career at the young age of 19 after his dad encouraged him to try out for a stand-up gig at the Comedy Annex in Texas. A year later, after meeting Kinison and a group of 11 other comedians, LaBove moved to Los Angeles where he got a job as a doorman at the legendary The Comedy Store.
LaBove spent the first year as a doorman then his second year got in some stage time. Eventually he was opening for Robin Williams, Damon Wayans, Arsenio Hall, and Ollie Joe Prater. From there he really honed his skills and branched out to create his own style of twisted comedy.
For the past four decades, LaBove has worked tirelessly to make audiences laugh and has earned quite a few awards and recognitions along the way. He has 2 comedy albums, a DVD special, and has made several appearances on The Tonight Show. Now his newest Vegas show Stripped takes the audience on a hilarious journey through the the las Vegas craziness and it’s one of his best stand-up routines yet.
