Grammy Award-winning band Imagine Dragons made a surprise appearance at a Vegas Golden Knights game in support of their nonprofit organization, the Tyler Robinson Foundation (TRF).
TRF is devoted to strengthening families financially and emotionally as they cope with the tragedy of a pediatric cancer diagnosis by providing grants specifically to offset out-of-pocket life expenses. The organization partnered with the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation to draw awareness for the organization’s mission and raise funds during the recent game at T-Mobile Arena.
In addition to the in-game fundraiser, TRF and the Golden Knights recently teamed up for a dual fundraiser during “A Knight with Gatsby” event at Commonwealth in Downtown Las Vegas. The fundraiser generated $6,000 for both organizations.
TRF was created after Imagine Dragons dedicated their song “It’s Time” to Tyler Robinson, a young boy who had been diagnosed with cancer. The dedication was the beginning of a long friendship and after Tyler passed, the band members created the foundation in his honor.
Imagine Dragons will continue to support pediatric cancer families in Las Vegas when they bring the Rise Up Gala to Caesars Palace in September. The gala will feature an intimate performance from the band. Stay tuned for more details.
