Downtown Las Vegas is growing at a rapid rate, with locals and visitors alike spending more and more hours here than on the Strip. Today, Downtown has everything from bars and restaurants to unique attractions you can’t find anywhere else. The vibe downtown is much more relaxed than on the overwhelming strip, especially when it comes to having a night out. Don some low-key styles and a good pair of walking shoes, because you will want to see it all. With so many options, check out this guide to get you through your evening off-the-strip Las Vegas experience.

Attractions
No visit to downtown is complete without checking out the popular attractions. The Mob Museum, Neon Museum and Container Park are just a few of the many cool sites you can visit to kick off your evening in this part of town. Make sure to purchase tickets to the Neon Museum in advance, and prepare to see iconic Vegas signs.

Free Music: Live Entertainment
We recommend grabbing a drink from a local bar, and heading over to one of the three stages located right on Fremont Street to catch some tunes. For the full schedule, check out their calendar of events.

People Watch
Now this one might sound silly, but heading to Fremont Street to people-watch is one of the most exciting things you can do when you’re downtown. You will find a very diverse crowd perusing the streets. Three great places to check out if you are into people watching are Stage Bar and Bar 46 at the Golden Nugget, as well as Patio Bar at Four Queens.

Laugh
For a break from the heat, head inside The D hotel and get tickets to the show, Defending The Caveman. This long-running one-man show confronts traditional male/female stereotypes with humor and heart. It is definitely a must-see and, as a bonus, is much cheaper than any show on the Strip.

Drink
By this time, it is probably getting dark and you are looking for a place to get drinks, listen to music and maybe dance the night away. There is definitely no shortage of bars downtown, you will just need to decide what tickles your fancy. The Griffin is a crowd favorite for their vintage vibes and great drinks. For a speakeasy feel and amazing cocktails, head on over to The Laundry Room to end the night.
